You can still reach out to the City of Thompson through:

E-Service Request (Submit a Request)

Please contact the City of Thompson through the above channels. Some of our staff will still be out and about doing their work. For their safety, please don't approach them directly.

What city facilities are closed?

The TRCC, City Hall, and Public Works office are closed to the public. The Thompson Public Library closed independently over the weekend. Staff are still working in the buildings.

We are going to make a plan to ensure residents can still dispose of waste at the Waste Disposal Grounds while keeping our staff safe.

How long will they be closed?

We will re-evaluate the situation after 30 days. However, we will remain closed to the public until we deem it is safe to reopen.

Will city services be affected?

Services like water treatment, garbage pick-up, public service announcements, snow removal and water break repairs will continue as normal.

Can I still drop off mail, applications, or cheques at City Hall?

Yes, a drop box has been set up in front of City Hall’s lobby to accept documents and payments. Envelopes will be supplied at the drop box.

What will happen to my gym pass, or the tickets I bought?

We’re working on a plan for gym passes and any tickets people bought for City events. We’ll put out an update when it’s available. This includes people who bought tickets to the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School's On the Edge Tour.
