Councillor Dennis Foley 

Councillor Dennis FoleyDennis Foley is the youngest city Councillor in Thompson, Manitoba at 31 years of age. Born and raised in Thompson, he attended Eastwood, Riverside, and Burntwood elementary schools before completing his high school at R.D. Parker Collegiate. He is also looking to someday further his schooling with a Bachelor of Education degree. 

Founder of the Northern Manitoba Off Road Association and member of the Thompson Trail Breakers, Dennis has a love for outdoor motorsport activities, which has lead to organizing many events in the past years. Dennis also has an interest for sports in Thompson. He has volunteered with different sports groups such as Thompson Minor Baseball, YBC Bowling, and Thompson Junior Soccer Association. 

Dennis’s ambitions for making his surroundings and community a better place has led him to volunteer with organizations such as the Salvation Army and other organizations over the years. He also became a Noble with Shriners International in 2013. 

Living in Thompson with his family in the Deerwood area, Dennis spends most of his free time at the family cabin at Setting Lake or off-roading on the many trails that northern Manitoba has to offer.
