Thompson's roots as a mining community have helped it develop a robust industrial service sector, capable of servicing a number of industrial applications. But as Thompson began to attract a wider diversity of residents, so too did our communities economy grow: we became the Hub of the North, a regional service center and a meeting place for communities across northern Manitoba.
In partnership with organizations like Community Economic Development Fund, Community Futures North Central Development, and our local First Nations business community, Thompson 2020 aims to help Thompson realize it's new role as a diverse and vibrant community.
